Welcome to Portugal. part 2 the return trip
Update 3
childhood dreams do come true. I got to use this bad boy in the construction of some dirtjumps.
the site, as seen from the top of the roll in.
work starting on the first set
shaping the first set
first set, roughly shaped, the design is tables that nestle together, beginner intermediate and advanced line.
first test run
view from 3rd set
proud builder, happy that we had had rain overnight.
Shaping the take offs
more testing
and expert testing
Has been so much fun, building and now riding these jumps, thanks go to my team mates who worked with me on this project and shared their jump building knowledge.
update 2
It gets better and better we built a dual slalom track next...
start ramp
triple table top (inspired by Made video, Sea Otter section)
double doubles
roller, camel top table, roller (inspired by Made video)
pumpy berm things (similar to the ones on Dragons tail, Rotorua)
Table for Two. (table top, wide enough for 2 riders)
Final jump (Step down camel top)
with both the crews here it was easy to crack this trail out, and a lot of fun it was to build and race on, if anyone asks crew 3 won far more races than crew 2, and don't let anyone try tell you any different
update 1
Here i am again and its been a busy couple of weeks. We started on a ripper of a project, a sweet technical line over rocks (naturally) amongst some mature cork trees, and with a bit more gradient than the other blocks i have worked on. The crew got straight amongst it and produced the goods.
Giant rock berm
camel top jump to dirt berm to step down
